Project 365: How I got to work this morning

I had an early morning shoot in Maryland this morning, so I got to cross the Potomac River from Virginia into Maryland on the White's Ferry. It was so peaceful compared to the beltway! Only a 5 minute ride across and there I was in another state, which is something I rarely experienced growing up in California!

Project 365: Climbing a tree

It's hard these days to find trees big enough to climb! These two twins found this tree and I couldn't resist getting a shot of their feet on the branch. Their toenail polish is funny because one is pink and one is purple...surely so mom can tell them apart!

Project 365: Megan!

This is really becoming my favorite kind of child portrait!

The colors, the textures, the juxtaposition of beauty with grunge!

Project 365: CASA Event in Washington DC - Part II

I had the pleasure of photographing the most beautiful, uplifting event on Wednesday. A beautiful May day in Washington, DC, and at the top of the Hay Adams Hotel set the scene. Everyone there was full of such a positive spirit, sharing the common goal of advocating for children in the foster care system. I learned quite a lot about the organization, and was totally inspired! Find out more how you can help at www.casaforchildren.org

Project 354: The Secret Garden

These are two of my favorite little ones. We had fun running around the "Secret Garden" on Saturday, and then went to Starbucks together! They are a joy!
