Project 365: How I got to work this morning
I had an early morning shoot in Maryland this morning, so I got to cross the Potomac River from Virginia into Maryland on the White's Ferry. It was so peaceful compared to the beltway! Only a 5 minute ride across and there I was in another state, which is something I rarely experienced growing up in California!

Project 365: Their four children
Project 365: I know I am always raving about my clients, but this family was extra special last night! The girls were so lovely and cooperative, mom and dad could not have been cuter, and I love that their "son" Cody came in the shot as their "fourth child"! When I leave a session like that it's like playing a perfect round of golf or bowling a perfect game. Just awesome!

Two great events next week!
Next week I'm taking part in two wonderful events. On Wednesday, May 19th I will be photographing CASA of DC's 1st Fostering Hope Luncheon. What a wonderful cause! Then on Saturday, May 22nd, I'll be in the village of Aldie, VA all day for Treasures on the Turnpike, celebrating Aldie's Bicentennial! Hope to see you all then!

Project 365: Mother's Day 2010
We were in a small gas station getting gas. All of a sudden I spotted this perfect backdrop. Me: "Kids, hurry, get out of the car...I need to take your picture!" Them: "What? Are you crazy? We're not even dressed. It's disgusting over there anyway!" Me: "It's Mother's Day...now get out of the car". And so we rushed out and they allowed me to snap about 3 shots each. I knew I wanted to make them look dark and gloomy, but it cracks me up that the kids look like they want to kill me...which they did. Good sports, though, and I got what I wanted on Mother's Day!
Project 365: Happy Mother's Day!
